Overview

Our client, a Fintech, is looking to recruit a Conduct Risk Manager within their London office, with hybrid working. The Manager will lead the design, maintain and oversee the implementation and operation of the Conduct Risk Management Framework and the Policy Governance Framework. They will also be responsible for preparing standards for policies and operating a review and challenge process against these standards.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Defining and documenting the Conduct Risk Management Framework to deliver appropriate conduct risk management in line with regulatory requirements
  • Maintaining the Conduct Risk Management Framework to reflect internal developments, industry best-practice and evolving regulatory requirements
  • Managing and overseeing the conduct risk monitoring process
  • Defining, documenting and operating the Policy Governance Framework
  • Providing standards, guidance and advice to policy owners/policy contacts and Risk Business Partners
  • Monitoring and providing oversight of the firm’s conduct risk profile, and the effectiveness of the risk mitigation in place to the Chief Risk Officer

 

Skills and Experience

  • Understanding of FCA and legal requirements related to conduct within consumer finance, including working knowledge of PRIN, CONC and SYSC sourcebooks
  • A working knowledge of Conduct Risk and Risk Management Frameworks
  • Strong product knowledge of the unsecured retail credit industry, related risk management, regulation and practices
  • Previous experience in collation of data/MI
  • Understanding of the way processes work and how controls can influence the effective management of risk within the business environment
  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to articulate and embed excellence in policy writing
  • A relevant financial services/professional qualification is desirable, although not essential
