Overview
Our client, a leading global consultancy, is looking to recruit a Senior Manager/Assistant Director in the Risk & Regulation team within their London office. The Manager will help to deliver major programmes across to prudential and conduct regulation, legal entity risk management, capital, treasury, and liquidity.
Role Responsibilities:
- Using industry best practices relating to prudential and conduct regulation to provide meaningful insights and practical considerations
- Undertaking technical analysis and presenting key insights to a variety of senior stakeholders
- Leading large engagements or delivering complex and/or multiple workstreams of varying size
- Managing senior client stakeholders and providing SME input across multiple disciplines and/or international jurisdictions
- Leading bids and developing a pipeline of new business
- Proactively identifying key blockers and developing bespoke solutions for clients and other stakeholders
- Supporting the future strategy and business development capabilities within the team by preparing thought leadership, client proposals and building technical knowledge across the team
Experience/ Qualifications:
- Understanding of the regulatory capital and financial efficiency constraints on the EMEA operating model, booking model and legal entity structure of banks
- Understanding of the fundamental elements of capital and/or liquidity under the applicable prudential regimes
- Demonstrable ability to interpret regulatory requirements and expectations, assess peer practices and communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely to non-technical audiences
- An understanding of global Structural Reform regulations, with any practical implementation/change management experience being beneficial
- Ability to support banks on the implications of both current and future regulations
- Detailed subject matter expertise on relevant regulatory capital and/or market access rules
- Experience in drafting regulatory applications
- Experience of successfully delivering projects relating to regulatory change, legal entity simplification, ICAAP/ ILAAP or solvent wind down planning
- Ability to provide advice on regulatory capital consequences of transactions to buy-side investors, working alongside our Financial Advisory groups
- Ability to advise on core financial regulations such as SYSC, EMIR, CRD/CRR and ICAAP/ILAAP and practical implications of these regulations arising from making changes to operating model, booking model or legal entity structure
- Degree educated and/or a relevant professional qualification (e.g. Chartered Financial Analyst, Chartered Accountant, Financial Risk Management)
