Overview
Our client, a leading global consultancy, is looking to recruit a Full Stack Developer with a specific interest and specialism in front-end development within their Data & Software Engineering Team. The Full Stack Developer will be responsible for building cloud-based solutions with intuitive web-based user interfaces that utilise cutting edge data analysis and machine learning algorithms in order to provide clients with insight and to improve the efficiency of their business.
Role Responsibilities:
- Working in a team of developers to design and build cloud-based solutions
- Designing and implementing front-end applications using JavaScript frameworks like Angular/React that can present complex data in a way that is easy to understand and interact with
- Working with clients during development and User Acceptance Testing to understand their needs and subsequently update designs to improve the end user experience
- Supporting junior front-end developers on projects, helping to manage their tasks and develop their coding skills
Required Experience/Qualifications:
Essential
- Postgraduate degree in a scientific subject (Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Data Science, Engineering, etc.) or equivalent and/or relevant professional qualification and/or significant relevant consulting/industry expertise
- 2+ years of experience building UIs with Angular or React
- Fluency in web development tools: JavaScript, HTML, CSS
- Familiarity with geospatial packages like Leaflet, MapBox, GeoServer
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into front-end application designs
- Strong delivery skills and the ability to work on your own initiative and in different and challenging environments
- Exceptional communication, presentation, business writing and professional skills
- Strong planning and organisation skills
Desirable
- Experience developing back-end components of web-based applications using Django
- Experience working in the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications sector
