Overview

Our client, a well-established UK bank, is looking to recruit for a Data Governance Analyst role within their London office. The Analyst will support the team in the day to day operation of Data Governance in the bank and will embed and enhance Data Governance policies and standards across the bank.

 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the management and monitoring of Data Quality Principles
  • Performing daily management of Data Governance using the Data Governance Forum
  • Applying a Data Governance framework, with a focus on continued improvement of data quality and strict adherence to the agreed principles detailed in the bank’s Data Policy
  • Management of Data Governance materials on confluence and supporting the business in the management of data governance actions and/or required remediation
  • Conducting assurance testing of the data warehouse to ensure data quality compliance within ETL processes
  • Collaborating with the business towards the support, establishment and continuous improvement of the control environment for data to be produced and consumed in a way that drives continuous improvement
  • Supporting the bank in the execution of agreed control/governance methods and processes

 

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Data Governance or Data Quality analyst experience
  • Experience creating and maintaining key data governance artefacts (data catalogues, business glossaries)
  • Analytical mind, critical thinker and problem solver
  • Working knowledge of SQL (DDL and DML)
  • Clear written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Basic understanding of Data Warehousing and related methodologies (Kimball, 3NF) and Cloud data management tools is desirable
