Overview
Our client, a leading global consultancy, is looking to recruit a Credit Director within their London office.
Role Responsibilities:
- Developing the risk appetite and risk management framework and credit risk target operating model
- Leading credit process reviews to assess opportunities for enhancement and recommending innovative solutions to increase productivity and cost saving
- Supporting clients with their digital transformation, developing standards for the underwriting process and implementing solutions via emerging technologies to execute the credit processes
- Working with the senior management team to develop industry contacts and sell credit risk engagements
- Managing and developing the existing credit consulting team and identifying and recruiting additional practitioners
- Taking a ‘hands on’ role in the development of Credit Process and Transformation products
Person Requirements
- 2:1 degree in Economics/Finance/Business Studies/ Maths or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, visual and numerical)
- Substantial credit experience with a strong understanding of market vendors, emerging technologies and data providers
- Management experience in either an underwriting team, a portfolio management function, credit risk consulting or a digital lending platform
- Experience in assessing credit process efficiencies, quantifying opportunities and implementing solutions
- Strong work ethic, professional and personable
- Strong existing network of contacts
- Strong analytics skills in relation to portfolio quality assessments, acquisition and behavioural scoring, collection techniques, debt pricing, and operational analytics
