Overview

Our client, an established bank, is looking to recruit an experienced Compliance Manager within their London office, with hybrid working. The manager will work as part of the Compliance Team in delivering practical and clear guidance on how to effectively meet new and existing conduct regulatory requirements, and proactively help to ensure that the bank implements effective systems and controls and to escalate any material issues identified. In addition, they will contribute to the achievement of the bank’s business goals and will promote a robust and effective compliance and conduct risk culture.

 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Providing support, information and advice in relation to interpretation of regulatory and conduct rules/guidelines and other associated regulatory themes
  • Reviewing and providing advice on business owned policies, and procedures as appropriate
  • Assisting with ensuring that all relevant SM&CR policies and procedures are reviewed in line with scheduled review dates/SMCR Annual Plan
  • Contributing to the Group Compliance Function’s identification, assessment, reporting and review of regulatory and conduct matters facing the business

 

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Experience working in a compliance or conduct risk role within the financial services industry
  • Experience undertaking a conduct and regulatory advice role involving the identification and interpretation of emerging conduct regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge of the FCA handbooks and their application in practice
  • Knowledge of regulations relating to mortgage lending (MCOB) and/or retail banking (BCOBs) is desirable.
  • Formal professional compliance qualifications are desirable
