Overview

Our client, a well-established global technology company are looking to recruit an experienced IP sales professional to join their Intellectual Property and Research & Development team working remotely.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Building relationships at the executive level and running a sales cycle to close and beyond
  • Building relationships at the executive level within US IP law firms, shaping campaigns and providing guidance to marketing/sales support teams
  • Engaging target clients in the core solution areas of IP, R&D and Strategic Innovation
  • Generating new business opportunities and building a portfolio of routine client business
  • Excellent listening skills and the ability to sell through objections creatively
  • Remotely based, travel as needed/warranted to client sites, trade shows and team meetings
  • Achievement of a sales quota and KPIs
  • Consistent and effective use of CRM
  • Staying actively involved in projects to make certain each project is progressing properly

 

Requirements:

  • 3-5+ years of experience closing deals in the Intellectual Property space
  • 2+ years of experience selling at C/Exec level within F1000 accounts
  • Strong familiarity with the processes involved in establishing IP
  • Entrepreneurial spirit – a self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience developing and managing a $1M+ sales pipeline
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent MS Office skills
  • Honesty, integrity and pure motivation to identify success even in failure
  • Experience in solution selling into hi-tech or biotech/life science domain is desirable
  • Experience of selling to law firms and solution selling experience is desirable
